DIY a fun sustainable Easter basket

Holidays are a wonderful time filled with love, laughter, and lots of unnecessary waste.

For Easter, I wanted to reduce the plastic I purchased just to celebrate the one day. So a simple way of doing that was transforming boxes I had laying around the house into Easter baskets. One was an empty diaper box, while the others were old amazon boxes.

I then used the paint I had leftover painting the kitchen cabinets, and just loaded the paint on. The more the better. I then googled drawings of bunnies, and voila, an Easter basket!

Skip the fake plastic grass, fill it with leftover tissue paper from gifts you received, and there you have it, a sustainable alternative to the easter egg basket, and FREE!
